Basic Info
Name:Howard Roark
Bio

THE SIGHT.
Howard Roark stands at a fairly average height, around 5'10" tall, not hugely well-built, but his hands show evidence of a great amount of hard work being undertook in his life. He has somewhat dark eyes and short blonde hair, generally appearing to be quite a creep at first glance. He tends to wear business suits and no headgear, and has rarely been seen without his trademark cigarette.

THE SOUND.
Anyone who enters Howard Roark's office will be hearing either jazz recordings or U2 records. Occasionally, something else, like Dream Theater, will play. He is a capable saxophonist and guitarist but a crummy singer because he smokes a lot.

THE MAN.
Howard is beyond smart-assed into the territory of rude at times, but he acts this way because of a massive sense of self, a firm identity, and the ability to know right from wrong as though Tiresias. A great believer in the importance of the self, he tries to help others to start helping themselves, but has a very bleak view about his job. He is a heavy smoker who says it helps him concentrate, which he finds important. He also has a spiritual side, claiming to have a third eye, and speaking of the strange often, and deriding information provided by the mass media.

THE JOURNEY.
Howard was a student of an architecture school. He showed excellent skill repeatedly. Howard, in addition to architecture-related classes, took many classes about psychology. In his final year, though, at age 21, the dean informed him that, while he was skilled, since his architecture did not show progression, and was based almost entirely in his own ideology, he wouldn't be suited for architecture, which required too much bending to others' wills, but that his record showed excellent skill in psychology. The dean, and all his professors, suggested this as well. He was clearly disappointed, but didn't have much issue with it. He completed these classes, and later, upon a recommendation, went to work as a therapist at Malaise.
